In this beautiful Fairfield, Connecticut home, the designer selected an open weave Conrad Woven Roman Shades.
As these shades were oversized, and behind custom draperies, they were motorized with remote control operation.
We collaborated with the designer and automation expert to integrate the operation of these shades, and programmed them to operate individually or as a group.
Cinch-pleat draperies installed on black custom wrought iron hardware with rings were installed over the shades giving a multi-layered appearance.
The wrought-iron rod was custom bent to give a continuous, wrap-around look to the bay window, minimizing visible brackets or means of support, creating the illusion of these massive curtains floating from the wall.
